this is a tricky one. Mark took something that was legal then , illegal now. I wont put him in HOF. He got to 61 easily. He never had to be pressure like Marris.(If anyone watch 61* from HBO , you will know , media and fans went after Roger since day 1.)

I'm a Cardinals fan, and I say no, McGwire shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. I lost all respect for him when I found out he's a steroid-using cheater.

I do not think he will at all. The amazing thing about the McGwires and the Bonds is that they were already really good before the explosive offensive outputs. It only goes to show.

Yes, he should. I don't like the steroids scandals any more than anyone else, but when he supposedly used his "performance enhancing drugs" they weren't illegal, so he's technically done nothing wrong.
Morals shouldnt factor completely into whether or not a player makes it in to the hall of fame, that's why Pete Rose should be in as well.

Mark should be in. I'm sure he is not the only player that would be in that has taken the Roids. Mark and Sammy Sosa brought baseball back to life in 98 with the homerun showdown through the season. Steroids or not you still have to hit the ball!!!

yes...steroids werent illegal when he supposedly used them..look at what in the past people have gotten away with...do we have to wipe out every record in the books and go back and change history???? Not a McGwire fan...but a fan of baseball

If he did indeed used performance enhancing drugs when he played, I'd say thumbs down to his nomination to the baseball hall of fame.

any one who says cheaters dont belong their putting bonds in there and sosa will prolly get in their so mcgwire yes just not this year. McGwire steriod use was different he admitted stoped and got hurt. i believe he was taking them to stay healthy

He won't make it on the 1st ballot nor will Sammy or Barry. Its kinda funny everyone knows they were all on steroids but them....
