The Hindu Marriage Act ,1955 is applicable to : a) Hindu by religion in any of its forms or development, including a virashaiva,a lingayat or a follower of brahmo, prarthana or arya samaj. b) to any person who is a Buddhist,Jain or Sikh by religion, and c) to any other person who is not a Muslim, christian,parsi or Jew by religion. So according to this provision of the Act nirankari marriage is covered under the HINDU MARRIAGE ACT.

Nirankaris are not a separate religion from Hindus. It is a sect in which the followers believe in one god. Hindu marriage act applies to them.
