For all us college students its finals week, Help me out with this essay question. Thanks (The class is multi-cultural studies)

WWII did a few things for Civil Rights. During the war it was terrible: Japanese Americans were placed in Interrment Camps simply because of their ancestry, Blacks and women were still very segregated in the military. After the war there seemed to be a period of some enlightenment. Military units were desegregated. The camps for the Japanese were closed.

But most meaningful civil right legislation didnt happen until the 60's. The cold war indirectly helps this because many black community leaders were very upset about the disproportionate amount of young black men being kille din Vietnam while most young white men (who had more money) enrolled in college and were exempt from the draft. Muhammed Ali was famous for his stand during this time.
