No way, there probably just using you to have you buy a gift. I had the same thing happen to me and they just used me. Don't because they will keep on expecting gifts for b-day, valentines, easter, xmas and more. don't do it. Good Luck!!

I have a friend like that. She always expects a Chrstmas gift, but she has moved to another state, and never seems to have the time to call me anymore. I usually just get her something little--last time I got her a 10$ gift certificate to Starbucks. I'm not going to spend a ridiculous amount of money on someone that can't find the time to say hello.

You buy gifts for people you want to buy gifts for, not because someone expects you to buy them a gift. I never see my sister and we call each other maybe twice a year but I buy her a gift because I love her. It's because we have that special connection and that's what it takes.

I say NO too. In fact if I don't want to give a gift, I kinda hide from that person for the month of Dec. and re appear by the new year

I agree. Why buy a gift for someone you never talk to or see? No, I wouldn't.
