So, I heated up some hot water this morning...in a small copper bottomed pot...but...forgot to put in water. The outside bottom of the pot darkened...and a lot of the bottom flaked off. Cleaned it off...looks bright and coppery...can I still use the pot? Thanks!

I have done the same thing but to embarrassed to ask. I cleaned it up and I'm still using it today. I see no reason not to use it and for bring back the memory.
