Song ideas for CD? or Gift ideas?

Im looking for songs for a CD im putting together for my boyfriend.

I mainly want rock/punk songs and a few nice songs maybe

I can't figure out what to put on it

and please no aerosmith or metal or anything crappy

He has no musical taste so im showing him good songs. Im having trouble narrowing it down and finding lovish songs too.

or anyone have any easy gift ideas instead for him?

He told me to make a Cd for him for xmas. to show him what kinda of music i like.

My advice would be to separate the two goals. Don't try to influence his musical tastes in the form of a gift. If my wife had done that to me when we were still dating, I would've been irritated.

Instead, set aside some time on a weekend or some evening and prepare a mix of what YOU think are good songs and ask him to sit or lay on the couch with you and listen to them. Let him experience them while relaxed. If a song has a particular meaning that you want him to know, tell him about it. That might increase his interest and appreciation for that song.

As for easy gift ideas, that depends on his interests, the commitment level of your relationship, and how easy you want to make it for yourself.
