Yeah, 2 points. Those points are to ask questions...like u just did. You just got rewarded and the reward is losing 5 points from asking a question. Not a great reward. And if you have enough points that you're at level 2-7 then you get a free prize from yahoo since it's yahoo answer's 1 year anniversary. Look at the advertisement.
P.S I like to run with scissors(random thought)

YES !! You get to go up a level - till you get to the highest one -the more you answer the faster you go up - as you move up you can answer more questions ask more and vote on answers.
But the best thing is if you can make it to top level you get a yahoo happy meal and if you can get there with no violations you get the toy also !! but you do need to know this has NEVER happened lol

there are different levels i just forget what they are.
