I know they have vulgar lyrics and all, but He really is a Good kid and I dont think He'll go around saying the things they do or think the things they say is Okay. He is a very mature person and knows right from wrong. What do you think?

It's great that you are monitoring your kids music..... unlike every other working parent out there. Panic at the disco is one that I would let mine listen to, it's not that bad, and is played on most radio stations that play tiny bop music. Cheers!

There lyrics are not "child" friendly. How mature is that 11 year old and how much of life do you wish to expose him to? Since you are expressing doubt here, I would say "no." Of course, if his parents allow him to listen, then you can follow their lead. The radio friendly versions may not have the cursing, but the lyrics still imply some rather "doubtful" actions. I removed seriously adults words, but here is a sampling of their lyrics:

"Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off"

Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress?
Then think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it.
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch your skin.
I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better *&%$
Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me
Girl I was it, look past the sweat, a better love deserving of
Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat?
No, no, no, you know it will always just be me

"Build God, Then We'll Talk"

It's these substandard motels on the (lalalalala) corner of 4th and Fremont Street.
Appealing only because they are just that un-appealing
Any practiced catholic would cross themselves upon entering.
The rooms have a hint of asbestos and maybe just a dash of formaldehyde,
And the habit of decomposing right before your very (lalalala) eyes.

Tonight tenants range from: a lawyer and a virgin
Accessorizing with a rosary tucked inside her lingerie
She's getting a job at the firm come Monday.
The Mrs. will stay with the cheating attorney
moonlighting aside, she really needs his money.
Oh, wonderful caricature of intimacy.

Yeah (Yeah)

And not to mention, the constable, and his proposition, for that "virgin"
Yes, the one the lawyer met with on "strictly business"
as he said to the Mrs. Well, only hours before,
after he had left, she was fixing her face in a compact.
There was a terrible crash (There was a terrible crash)
Between her and the badge
She spilled her purse and her bag, and held a "purse" of a different kind.

well actually most of panic! at the disco's music isn't that vulgar. i know that some of it is but as long as he's a good kid and like you said knows right from wrong then i think he should be able to listen to it. if he starts repeating it though then make him stop.

I think music has a lot of influence on any one of any age. If I questioned something then there is probably a reason I am questioning it.

I am not much of a panic fan myself though
