take away pride and ego, are we all not just human beings trying to make it through life. forget race, we are the human race. forget nationality, we are all people of this earth. forget religion, live and let live. when you go out of your house today i would like to encourage you to help some one out that you dont know. if you see a homless man, buy himm a double cheese burger at mcdonalds, its only a dollar. if some lady drops somthing out of her purse, pick it up and return it. if you see some one trip on the side walk, help them up. even if its just holding the door open for an old woman. any little thing you see you can do to help some one. after all would you want some one to help you if you needed it? please just think of others as your out and about. if everone just takes the time to care for others it makes the world and the quality of life better for every one. thankyou and good day to you

There have been many people who advocate doing small kindnesses all day, every day. The Boy Scouts are admonished to "do a good turn daily." The story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible. Lots of them.

There is a great lifting of spirit that comes from helping someone else, and that does not depend on being wealthy. A small kindness need not cost a penny, or it may cost only a very small amount in terms of all that you have.

Simple good manners will go a long way. Offer to hold the place in line of a lady who is in obvious distress over the way her child is running around, but does not want to lose her place in a slow line waiting for something important. Let someone go ahead of you in the grocery checkout when they only have a very few items. We all have examples of simple kindness that costs nothing and makes the world a better place.

As you say, forget the things that divide us, and remember that we are all one big family. How happy that family is up to us.

u have just said exactly what i believe. i wish everyone could at least try to think this way! the world would be a much better place. thank u for you insite. i hope more people would think as we do. we all human, living on planet earth and all got red blood. we really are all the same with little differences, but we humans take this small differences and take them and make them into huge ones. lets not hate each other for color, for nationality or our beliefs in god. lets try hard to love each other before we judge each other.

All very good points! I wish everyone had this attitude, life would be sweet indeed. It's too bad that there are so many thoughtless people. We should try to treat every day like a holiday and extend a hand to those who need it, not just at Christmas time, but, all the time. Thanks for giving me a smile, and a bit of hope for the future of man.

just to expand on you idea......the way to enlightenment is through helping our fellow man. The concept of "paying it forward" is a miraculous one. When doing a good deed, refuse payment, ask the person you helped to do the same to someone else in need, in your name. This is payment enough! And as it catches on peace and happiness will spread.

Just a thought........Have a great day....and WONDERFUL holiday season!

sounds nice, happy holidays... why do this spirit only emerge around this time of year? We have religious holidays in every religion throughout the year.
