What is your opinion on the actual threat that Iran poses in terms of possessing OR using nuclear weapons? Is this a true threat or merely a bargaining position taken by the Iranian government to appear more menacing (thus gaining world attention)? Perhaps someone from that region could explain the cultural significance of this ????? Are they likely to receive a pre-emptive strike against their facilities (like what happened to Iraq in the early eighties when Israel destroyed Iraq's nuclear facilty)?

Any nation that has the ability to produce weapons of mass destruction, including the US, could be considered a threat to the rest of the world. But the true threat, is when these weapons are in the hands of any nation, where extremist fanatics would be willing to annihilate even their own, to "accomplish their mission." The greater the mission the more heroic the martyr. It will always be a ,"bargaining tool", but the true threat cannot be denied.

I do not believe that Iran is a threat,with or without nuclear weapons...Well right now Israel is the strongest country in the Middle East,having nuclear power or weapons would make Iran a competitor to Israel for who will dominate the region...It's a power struggle between those 2...So of course is not in Israel's best interest to let Iran achieve nuclear weapons...
I don't think Israel would attack Iran,because I think that they are perfectly aware of the consequences of this attack...And I really doubt that,if Israel attack Iran's nuclear facilities,Russia will be very glad to see its billions dollars investment ruined...
