light spotting is normal, especially after sex. If you contineously have them, then talk to your OB about it.

I'm 11 weeks and have been spotting pretty much the whole time. I have a hemorrage in the uterus...very small...and does not effect the baby, but this is what is causing my bleeding.
Most of the time I spot brown...but there have been a few times I went to the bathroom and there was red on the tissue.
I have read that sometimes this is quite common in early pregnancy.
I know someone who bled for 16 weeks!
and their baby turned out just fine.

Spotting in early pregnancy is not a serious sign. It usually happens when you would have expected your period had you not gotten pregnant. It can be normal in some women particularly in the first three months. spotting after that is less expected but is also not serious but should be mentioned to you OB doc or midwife. Now outright bleeding is something else, and should never occur during pregnancy and must be reported immediately.

That really is not a good sign you should see the Dr. right away I have had three kids and my daughter is going to be have her second one and she was spotting and the Dr. put her on bed rest for 2 weeks with her feet up and then she was told not to do to much or she would loss the baby. See your Dr. A.S.A.P.

Bleeding anytime during pregnancy isn't normal. Call your doctor. It could be nothing but it is better to be checked out than not. Good luck

You could be spotting until your first three months, that is normal but more than that you should consult your doctor.
