i think its normal to worry about those close to you,,,,, as long as its not 24/7,,,,, when the bad feelings come,,,,,, just try to distract yourself,,,,,, and tell yourself your not going to think that way,,,,,, as you cant know what/when anything will happen,,,,,, and most likely the bad thing you think may happen wont,,,,,, i think maybe for some its their brain just trying to grasp the concept of losing those close to them, when they think of funerals etc,,,, imagining the unimaginable, so to speak

WoW! I have the same problem. I was just asking a friend about this and they said i worry to much. I have done it since i was a kid. Like if my mom didnt come home in time. I would picture horrible things until I would cry myself to sleep. I am now 24 and when my husband hasnt called I freak out! Or if my daughter goes away with grandparents. I do the same. I would be totally devistated if some ever happened to either of them and the thinking about it freaks me out!!Nothing bad has ever happended to me or those I love and I dont understand why I owuld have these thoughts. I dont worry about simple things just horrible things like you said. And I try so hard not to do it!!! I would love to find an answer and will be checking back at this question!!

have you tried talking to your family members of what you are feeling. facing the inevitable is hard and knowing that in time these things might happen. But to take over part of your life is really hard. Maybe come to terms within yourself and accept what in life is hard to accept. Knowing that these worries will not make them happen but also worrying about them will not make them go away either.
Occupy your thoughts of pleasant memories.
those memories no one can take away from you. Enjoy life for it only happens once. Be happy that you have this time with them.
One other thing is that if you talk of your fears sometimes they go away.
Parents and loved ones are there for you talk with them and let them know what you feel inside.
it feels good talking about what is hurting you

I do that to. I've had a few unexpected deaths in my life so now I always have these disturbing visions. I really hate it when I get into one of these zones because it's hard to get these images out of my head. I've just learned to deal with them. I try to push them in the back of my mind, easier said than done. I just try to spend as much time as I can with those I love. Whatever happens is going to happen. I just try to be there for them as much as I can now. And it makes me love them even more because I realized that me thinking that way is love. I love them so much, I'm so protective of them, I'm fearful of them getting hurt or dying. Just try to remember that those thoughts is your love for them. Being scared of loved ones well being is a part of life. Crazy, yes but I guarantee you're not the only one thinking this way.

I think so. Caring for people close to you usually does consist of you worrying about their safety, but try not being negative about it. I'm happy that you care for them, we need more people like you in this world.

You sound like you have abandonment issues. Consult a therapist. Seriously.
Good luck.

That is not normal. Maybe you need some professional help. Seek counseling.
