PS3 offers better graphics and audio capabilities, significant processing power, Blu-Ray player, linux operating system support, backwards compatibility with all PS1 and PS2 games, online gaming, wireless sixaxis controllers, HD support.

PS2 offers backwards compatibility with PS1 games and a DVD player.

Is the PS3 better than the Nintendo Wii? From a processing power standpoint, the PS3 is significantly better than the Wii especially for adults and avid gamers. But if you are looking for a family-oriented gaming system for youngsters at a reasonable price with an innovative controlling device (nunchuk), the Wii would be a good platform.

The difference between A PS2 and A PS3 is that a PS3 has super awsome HD graphics and I wouldn't say a Wii is better then a PS3 but that's what I think

The PS3 has updated graphics and better games. It comes with an HD pack (probably why it's $600!). It is slightly better than the Wii, but the Wii lets you get immersed into the game with its remote. But, the PS3 shows a bit more emotion in the games other than you knowing you're outside the game playing it with a remote. For graphics, the PS3 takes it, but for cheaper expense that you might be able to sell when you get $400, I'd suggest the Wii.
