my phone on orange has i believe been barred or whatever i dont know ... what do i do? as i cancelled my contract early etc .... thanx

i have a nokia 6280 myself great phone. The reason why you're phone has a bar on it is that you ended your contract early and you would need to pay not only a cancellation fee you would also have to buy out your contract. And depending how long you have to run on your contract determines how much it would cost to buy it out. It is a bit of a boneache because the price of handsets have shot up because they are getting more and more advanced and most service providers now only do 18 months contracts.

Well, I think that you need to take the problem up with your Network provider as if you've quit your contract early you may need to pay a small fee to unlock your phone again...

contact orange and ask them to unlock the handset then you cood by a pay as you go sim for another network.
