ok i've limited myself down to three bindings i'm looking at. i know burton is great and i would ride with burton anyday. just wondering about these models as i am about to purchase a new pair. between cartel, co2, and c60. that order is pretty much the price range from low to high just wondering instead of getting cartel would i be better off putting the extra money towards the co2 or c60. i've checked them out in the store all look great just would like to know from someone who has used them or know more about them. thanks.

It really depends on what you want.

The Cartels are great bindings but they will be the least stiff of the three and the heaviest. The have a Sky Back (which is Burtons tallest highback) and the same superstraps that the C02's use but utilize a different, softer material in the baseplate so you won''t get quite the same response as the C02 but you will get more comfort.

The C02's are very light and stiffer than the Cartels which equals better response at the expense of comfort. C02's also have Burton's super straps which are the most comfortable straps I've ever used and the new canted Air Mesh, Living Hinge Highback. You seriously don't know your highbacks are there and yet get amazing response. These are the bindings I use. With the combination of the Heel padding and superstraps they are the most responsive, yet comfortable bindings I've ever used.

Now, the C60's are Burton's sickest, lightest and most responsive binding. Everything about this binding is designed toward that end. The performance is amazing but I found them to hurt my feet after a long day of hard riding. I have to admit that I've always had foot problems (tore my Long Plantar Ligament once and now my feet, in particular my right one, always hurt a bit while riding) and I'm very picky about my boots and bindings. I found that the uber-stiff C60's just transmitted too much feel for my feet to handle so I had to rule them out.

These bindings are all top of the line in terms of quality and features it just depends on what you need.
