It's not ideal, but the risk of infection might be greater if you DON'T have a D&C. A D&C in itself won't make you infertile (unless the doctor makes a mistake, but this is EXTREMELY unlikely), but if you get an infection because of an incomplete miscarriage, this can cause problems.
Your doctor will only have recommended this if he or she thinks it is the best option, so trust them.
I'm very sorry for your losses, and wish you all the best for the future. Don't give up hope - many women have more than one miscarriage and then go on to have perfectly healthy children.

If spontaneous abortion of the fetus (miscarriage) was not complete, then you need to have the D&C for your own health to avoid infection and scarring.
To have lost two pregnancies in such a short period of time, especially one at 11 weeks, it appears that you might have a hormonal issue so that you are not producing enough of the appropriate hormones early on to support a pregnancy. Either that or you might have undiagnosed endometriosis or another medical condition inhibiting your ability to maintain a pregnancy.
I would encourage you to prompt your physician to determine WHY it is that you are unable to support a pregnancy by doing some testing both by blood and ultrasound to determine any abnormalities. After one miscarriage, they won't do this. After three, they do it without question. Tell your physician that two is enough for you... and you would like to determine the cause now.
I am so sorry. I know the loss is painful and 11 weeks is so close to the "safe" time where you can start to breath easier... it's even more so. Please speak to your physician about testing for future pregnancies and in the meantime, use a non-hormonal means of birth control to give your body a chance to heal and to give you the chance to figure out what's going on so you don't have to continue to experience this heartache again and again :(
My best to you....

It's not dangerous to you, just to the uterus. If you don't give it a rest and let it return to normal before you conceive again, you are increasing the odds of miscarrying again because the uterus can't function correctly if it is not completely healed.

i recommend a 3 month rest period for your uterus to recuperate.
and try seeing a specialist since your always miscarrying.
maybe a lifestyle check is in order because you have sensitive pregnancies.
