A care package filled with phone cards, and samples of toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, chewing gum, mints, hard candies, etc..also you can add some special touches such as a picture of you and her together, a picture of the whole family, a journal with a message written in it for her, list of phone numbers and email addresses in a small address book, you could put it in a basket and decorate with a Navy theme. Your sister is a hero in my eyes--as all our service men and women are. Best of Luck to you both.

I would give her a gift basket of things that remind her of home. If she is going on a long deployment you know that she is going to miss her friends and family. I would suggest giving her pictures, Cd's, and anything else that you think she will need.
