Main properties of silver are like this :
colour - white, lustre - metallic, heavy metal (Sp.Gr 10.5), Melting point 960 degrees C, Malleable and ductile, Best conductor of heat and electricity. Molten silver tends to absorb Oxygen, and liberates it violently on cooling - this phenomenon is known as Spitting of Silver. It is dissolved in KCN and NaCN. H2S forms a thick black coating ( Ag2S). Not attacked by aqua regia. React slowly with conc HCl and all HNO3 forming respective salts.
Uses :
Coins, tooth-filling. silver salts are used in silvering mirror, medicine and photography. And of course ornaments and utensils, artwork etc.

Metal. semi precious. resisant to some acids. Very conductive to electricity. Very resisant to the elements. Maleable. Bacteriacide in the metal form and also in compounds. Maleaable in use as jewlery.
