Use iTunes. A CD should come with the ipod with iTunes on and the drivers for the ipod - run it.

When you're in iTunes with your ipod connected to your PC there should be a separate section on the left hand side of your screen with a little picture of an ipod. You should be able to drag tracks onto it or set it to copy what you have and update itself each time it is selected.

I don't have one, so apologies if this is a little way off, but it's how I remember it working.

Put itunes onto your computer (you should have got the disc for that with the ipod). Then you just plug the ipod into your USB port, put the cd into the cd drive and it will pretty much do it fo you!

you install iTunes on your computer, then create a playlist of the songs you opt for on your IPod. once you plug it in, the computer will immediately create a playlist out of your songs, yet you may substitute that by using utilising the "YourNameHere"'s Ipod button on the left collumn and choosing which playlist you opt for on your iPod. Unfortunatly, i cant answer the 2d component to your question because of the fact i do no longer comprehend a thank you to flow the songs
