I guess we really not know for sure. I do know that one day we will find there is life on Europa, I been saying this for many, many years. Way before NASA started speculating. Now as far as intelligent, I assume most any life from has some level of intelligence. I not saying Europa will have people like us, but, I assume it be more an Aquatic life. I just wish they hurry up and do this, so, everyone will see I am correct. I am a Christian and I have had to argue with many other Christians over this. Many can not believe God has put life other than on Earth.

What a crap ... if you see it like that then you could also say, aliens already live on earth ...
You cannot define a probability to be a real fact only because it is a probability.
Besides, how would you welcome alien visitors ? With asmile? With a gun ? So, presuming there was intelligent life on mars, don't you think they'd try to explore their next neighbour, too and would have come to us already?
And no, it might not be people like us on Mars, because it is either too hot or too cold on MArs and there isn't enough oxygen in its atmosphere.
The evidence? You can easily calculate MArs' gravity and therefore know whether Mars is able to keep Oxygen from subblimating into space or not. We know, Mars cannot prevent that. Therefore, life as we know it, cannot exist there.
Mars ist just a few miles (about 10 million) outside the so called livable zone (around the sun)

There are so many pictures from Mars, and not all of them are from NASA either. The Russians and Europeans have sent space craft to Mars too. And none of them have seen any life at all.
But Mars is only one small planet in our solar system, and there are countless other solar systems in our galaxy, and who knows how many planets in those other solar systems. Some of those may have intelligent life, but we don't know since they are too far away for us to visit, even with unmanned space craft.

I believe its possible a society perhaps long, long ago inhabited Mars. I believe sooner or later, we will find things on Mars to prove this. There are already "structures" on the surface in Cydonia region tha cannot be explained. Two things certain, are that they are in photos, and their configuration is too close to the array of pyramids in Giza, Eygpt. Overlapped pictures show they line up precisely with the Orion constellation.
