It's time to shake up your routine...but not find a new partner.
Try splurging on a vacation for the two of you; that often helps to shake up routines, but it can be expensive. Another alternative is to have one or both of you take separate vacations - like visiting your parents. By leaving for a week, you remember all the things about your partner that you appreciate, and you're eager to see them again!
If movie night is becoming predictable, why not make it a 'family night' and have many different things to try? Go to a games store nearby and pick up a few new board games (some are very fun - they have hundreds of games now, not just Monopoly and Scrabble. Try finding a copy of 'Carcassone', 'Hacienda' or 'Who Killed Dr. Lucky?')
And of course, I'd suggest going out more often. It doesn't have to cost you anything - it could be as simple as visiting some friends, or inviting them over for a dinner party.
Good luck!

The number one rule in keeping a relationship strong is communication. Tell him you need some spice. Find some new things to experience together. Have fun without him sometimes, go out with the girls. Absence sometimes is the best medicine.

weve been together for 4 years and i get that a lot too.
i initiate change by doing something different like purposefully messing the house so he will clean it, messing up my clothes and pretending that im ill so that he'll do the laundry, breaking up some staff so he can mend it and so on.
but really if youre bored initiate the change, you cant expect him to react to something that he does not obviously know i.e he is clueless that youre getting bored.

Tell him that you want something different to do for once. Spicing things up can be fun and entertaining. Now for me and my boyfriend I'm tired of going out all time.

Look around for new things to do. Ask friends and coworkers. It is easy to rut into a rut.
