Either France in the late XVIth century (ref: night of Saint-Barthélmy) and early XVIIth century, or the Romans after the emergence of christianism, between the Ist and let's say IIIrd centuries. That is if you mean purely religion/confession hate murders. now if you take the bigger picture, and don't talk only about religion-related crime, because if you are, then catholics must be atop the list, due to the high murder rate across the world regardless of religion

Not really sure but I would lean to Nazi Germany.

It is only right to place the Jews first on the list of the Nazis' victims.

However millions of Catholics and other Christians were also killed. No one knows exactly how many. I've seen claims of up to 42,000,000 but I could not find documentation for this number.

One example, over 6 million Poles perished during WWII. That was 22% of the population of the country. Three million were Jews. Most of the rest were Catholics.

Also remember most the the allied military dead were Christians.

With love in Christ.

Actually, during the years of the Catholic Church, or "Holy" Roman Empire.(East and West) the popes had more power over the kings of France, Germany, Spain, and so forth. And they did institute Crusades, and Inquisitions.
