The New York football Giants. This is a deeply talented club who's injury situation is slowly improving. Carolina's defence is certainly questionable this year with a secondary that is in disarray. Jake doesn't look like he'll be able to go today with the injury to his throwing hand thumb, so Chris Weinke will likely start. This to me is the key to today's game. Weinke hasn't started a football game at any level for three years. There's also quite a history between these two teams in recent years, and the Giants would like nothing more than to advance their own playoff situation at the hands of the 'hated' Panthers.

I picked the Giants, but it should be a pretty good game. The Panthers have been on a "choke-fest" this year, and lost several games when they have had the lead in the fourth quarter. They don't seem to be able to close the deal in the clinch. Also, I think the loss to Dallas will add a little to the NY game this week. We'll see!

The Panthers because of the fact they have not got as many injuries (right now) and that they are locked in a combat for the NFC South. The Giants won't relax gamers because of the fact they are going to nevertheless be playing for homestead field benefit.

They NEED to win this game. There is absolutely positively NO room for error. Hands down, they need it. If they lose, then they're done for the season and can kiss any hope of making the playoffs as a wildcard goodbye.
It's going to come down to who wants it more. The Giants have to want it more.
