Yes sure join a club or this or that... but it's not that easy! I am working on an exiting project in Loughborough for the next 3 months and I find the UK culture a bit difficult to relate in, but I think I'm spontaneous enough to cope a bit. During week days, all I see is a few colleagues which also don't live in Leistershire and weekends they head home! I am stuck here; decaying of boredom but have recently joined the gym to keep me busy. I am not very fond of pubs especially for the reason not going there alone trying to chat someone up... guess I am a bit lonely...hahaha! Would like to meet people in other ways than bars or pubs! Or if you fancy meeting up with me, would be happy to, maybe go and have a drink some where... Anyone in?

Check out a nice small cozy Pub for a wee dram and a pint, aye? Or a small cafe for cup of Earl Gray Hot.

Ask your colleagues if they fancy going out one night - before they head home! Meeting new people is easier with other people around - if you know what I mean!

How about Yahoo Chat? You could ask if anyone was from the area you're in now, that might get you out and about.
