Florida is hot and humid but with over 200 miles of beaches there's always a way to cool off! Most people are transplants, meaning they come from another place, and find that the first summer they're here they have sweat more than they are used to but its no different than the dog days of summers from around the country. I used to miss the change of seasons that you see elsewhere but being able to go to the beach in winter has its special place in my heart! I always wanted to move away once I grew up and go back to a four season state but I don't see me doing that anytime soon. As the locals always say "It's just another day living in tropical paradise", you get used to it and in the end its not too bad living in paradise. :)

It depends on what your idea of hot is. I have lived there during the summer before and it would get to a humid 90+ degrees most days. I didn't mind it however because I would work during the day in an office with a/c and by the time I got off in the evening, the sun was not as strong. I thought it was quite tolerable.

Well, I love the heat of Florida in the summer. I'm from New Hampshire, so I'm definitely not used to the heat, but I go to Walt Disney World every summer (July-August) when it's at it's hottest and I enjoy it very much. People complain about it and think I'm crazy, but it really just doesn't bother me. And at night it's beautiful, the temperature is so perfect.
Yes, I can tolerate the summer heat in Florida.

NO! Sometimes I long to move out immediately! I might couldn't tolerate the heat. I don't think it is very healthful to stay in Orlando for summer.

If you like constant 90 degree temperatures with a matching 90 percent humidity 90 percent of the time in the summer.
I came here in `04 and can't wait to move somewhere else !

I've lived here all of my life.
It's extremely hot, but you learn to deal with it.
Stay busy so you'll be distracted from the heat!
Drink lots of water, use lots of sunscreen and go to the beach and the pool as often as you can/like!

it's great to be warm and we don't realize that it's so humid if we've lived here all our lives, we just think it's normal...humidity bothers a lot of people here....but hey, have you been to vegas????we are nowhere near that hot. if you plan on moving here, be prepared, the housing has increased times 3 in the last few years and there are many impact fees in certain areas....
