Do something personal (ie make something).
One year I didn't have any money..... and I was living out in the sticks.
So I wrote a poem for my dad. That was the best gift he ever received. He framed it, and has it sitting in the front room and shows it to everyone (6 years later)... how embarrassing.
But it meant alot to him.. he hates Christmas so I was amazed I could give him a present he really appreciated. He called me up the day he opened it and his throat was catching with emotion.
I had never written a poem before, and always got really poor grades for my poetry in school. It's probably a very technically poor poem, but it came from my heart, and he loved it. So that's all that matters right?

I am not trying to get personal or get into your business or anything crazy like that but it is kind of hard to answer your question when I don't know your age.
I will say one thing though.
At one time or another each one of my children have made my gifts. I still have everyone of them.
My oldest child is 23 and I still have the gifts she has made me. Even a nice poem would do nicely.
It just depends on how old you are.
There are lots of sites on line that have great ways to make gifts.
If you can't make up a poem.... although it doesn't matter cause if it comes from your heart that is what matters.

There are many things you can do...
You can make them a CHRISTMAS CD - a compilation of songs they might like.
You could give them a "GIFT CERTIFICATE" - not for MONEY or THINGS... but for YOU to do something NICE for them... Like babysit so they can have a night out, or to cash in - for doing things you should be doing anyway... like cleaning your room, or the house, or doing the dishes...
Christmas is NOT about gifts... it's about GIVING to show someone you love them.

Make them something. Your parents won't care that you didn't buy them something. Last year was the worst year in my life, I almost died, and had no money, and felt bad that I couldn't afford to buy them something. All they wanted was for me to spend some time with them. Make them a nice card and tell them how you feel.

You don't need to give them nothing material, just tell your parents that you love them with all your heart, and that is the best gift they are going to have this Christmas, believe me, Merry Christmas..âº

Make them a card. Tell them you love them. Do something to help them in some way. Clean the house or something.

Do you have one dollar? Go to the dollar store and buy a simple black picture frame, then, go home and put sentimental things in it....photos in a collage, or movie tickets stubs and graduation cards, etc etc....just memorable things like that to make them cry.
