Everything I've read so far points to a keyboard or mouse problem. They say to unplug both the mouse and the keyboard and see if the error message goes away. Then plug them in individually and see which device is bad.

you say you put in a new hard drive. Did you reinstall a operating system ? (windows) Just becuz you bought a new hard drive, they don't come with a operating system already installed. Did you buy a bigger hard drive? You can reinstall the hard drive you removed to get your operating system back until you have a system instalation disk. Good luck. Mikie. Oh, and I understand that when you open the case on a Dell you will get that message.

When you change the hard drive you need to install the softwarefrom CD....!I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some drive problems can be easily fixed by yourself using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.
