I ffeel that pride can be useful, to an extent. It is human nature to wat to prove to other people their feeings of superiority. This come from a neanderthal istinct to preserve food for the young one's starving. That is a n extreme case ,I know. However, pride can get your work noticed in high-powered business meetings, and can result in upper-management wondering why we haven't moved this giuy/girl before. Be careful, however, not to confuce confidence for arrogance. That is a sure fired way to get kicked out the door.
