When a president runs with his party does that mean he embraces all the ideologies of said party?

For the most part, but there are a lot of issues to take a side on. There is a very good chance that a presidential canidate has a differing stand on some issue (if not more).

Each person is different, we join the party that has the most in common with our point of view. I tend toward the liberal, but couldn't join the Democrats because they tend to spend money on poorly thought out social programs. I was once a republican, but Bush disillusioned me with that. So now I'm a Libertarian, I'm reasonably happy with them, but we're still not as strong as I would like.

That's the only reason a party supports a candidate

normaly but he always does because the party has to pick him on less he is running as an independant so the picked president normaly does

He does until elected and then he does what he feels like until election time comes around again.
