When I asked my wife she says because. She has shoes she hasn't worn in years but will not let me throw them out. She says they may match an outfit some day or come back in style. I have a pair for the winter and a pair for the summer. Have no need of more.

I really don't' know why some people are fascinated with shoes. I only have 2 pair of shoes, a dressy one and an everyday one.I would rather buy other things.
