If a person was 18 and got arressted for shoplifting, was fingerprinted, but never went to court and just paid a fine, will those fingerprints show up on the new electronic scan? The shoplifting was a misdemeanor.

Once you are in the data base only a court order can get you out

I don't know what kind of electronic scan you're talking about, but your fingerprints wouldn't come up from a misdemeanor, and only then from the local authority that took the fingerprints.

Well, if one stays out of trouble, one doesn't have to worry about it. I know I get fingerprinted almost every time I sign up to substitute teach in a different district... so mine are out there. But I don't worry about it, because I don't do anything that they'd be dusting for my fingerprints!

Yes regardless of the crime once you are fingerprinted it is in the system forever. Can not be taken out of system.

Yes, once finger printed for any crime,no matter what, it is in the system to stay!
