About two weeks ago one of my friends, not my best friend but still a good friend ( friend A), told be she was having a birthday party soon and asked if i could come. I agreed and then i forgot about it. My best friend (friend B) asked me to come to a christmas party at the same time and i said yes to that and i only remembered about the birthday party today when friend A gave me a map.
I really want to go to both parties but i cannot decide which one.
going to Friend A:
good: she's much nicer than friend B and I really want to be best friends with her and this is my chance.
Bad: If i go to friend A's party friend B might get upset and not speak to me and then I won't have anyone to work with in lessons becuase everyone else already has a partner
going to Friend B:
Good: She's my best friend and we always have lots of fun together
Bad: She's leaving at the end of this year and if I can be friends with someone else I won't be a loner.
Sometimes friend B is really mean 2 me

Try to go to both if you can. If you can't, go to Friend A's party. She did ask you first and it is for her birthday after all. Explain to Friend B that you really wanted to go to her party, but it's only fair you go to Friend B's party since she asked first and that it's nothing personal. She is your bf so hopefully she'll understand.

Explain to friend B that you made a prior committment and just remembered, (show her the map etc, so she'll know your not making it up) and go to friend A's party...if friend B is any kind of a friend she'll understand as we've all done it.

Ok, what time do these parties start? I would go to both...whichever party starts first go to first, then leave early and go to the 2nd party late. Better late than never, and it will make both friends happy that you made their party

One always goes to the event from whom one has gotten the first invitation, especially when friend b is mean to you. You were first asked by friend A, do not blow her off.

You accepted the first invitation.. plain and simple.. Your commitment lies there.
You explain to the second person , you made this arrangement previous to her invite and will have to cancel. Apologize, but explain it would be rude not to attend the birthday, as you committed yourself already.
If she doesn't understand and gets mad.. so be it...
You will be making the correct decision morally....that is what is important..
