He is killed by Bruce Willis part way through the film. However the end part of the film is set BEFORE the middle of it (confusing, eh?) so he turns up again for the last few scenes with Sam Jackson.

Don't listen to any of those fools John Travolta doesn't die! Him and Samuel L Jackson walk away scot free. Get the DVD it shouldn't be anymore than £7 now or download it and see for yourself I'm telling the truth.

He starts to read the book that Bruce has left behind and Bruce comes back for it and finds John sitting on the toilet reading it so he shoots him. Proper order too. Shouldn't borrow without asking first.
