At one time, it was only displayed on July 4th. Is this true? The National Archives website claims it is displayed everyday.

The original is located at the National Archives in DC. It is on display every day that the Archives are open. I believe there are other copies and those are located in other places...

I don't know of any special rules on the display of the Declaration of Independence. However, because of its importance in American History, one would assume that it (or a replica) REQUIRES a place of prominence, protection, and should be highlighted in some way.

I'll be watching for more specific answers... Good Question....

DID YOU SEE THE MOVIE NATIONAL TREASURE? IT TELLS YOU ALL ABOUT IT AND IT'S REPLICAS SOME OF WHICH TRAVEL AROUND THE COUNTRY.

Also, i read that shortly after the original was signed, they made copies and put original signatures for each state at that time.

I know it is displayed at the National Museum of American History in Washington DC, I've seen it it is so KEWL! But I can't help you with when it was displayed. Srry!
