You're "considering trying it again" huh? we're not talking about rock climbing here hun. we're talking about something that has killed thousands of people and made thousands of others seriously sick. If you've only had 3, good, keep it that way. You're not addicted, why become addicted? so a year from now you can get on here and say "help im addicted to cigarettes , what do i do???" Not worth it. years ago it was cool and everyone was doing it. Now people only smoke because theyre addicted, and cant stop, its no longer cool.
Also --I don't agree that people who smoke are stupid. I agree that teenagers who do it to be cool arent that bright. But the majority of adults that smoke are doing it because it wasnt such a big deal back in the day. By the time they realized they were being lied to by cigarette companies, it was too late and they were addicted. theyre not stupid, theyre addicted. Its hell fighting an addiction. My brother in law smoked for years. He found out he lost 20% of his lung capacity. He did that lazor surgery where theyre suppose to go in through the ear and "zap" the part of your brain that has you addicted to cigarettes. He did it about 6 months ago and hasnt smoked one since.

I think it would be a foolish quest. I live in Canada. A pack of 25 cigarettes costs you no less than $10.00. If you are a pack a day smoker, you waste $300 a month in cigarettes. 3650 in a year. That's enough for a down payment on a nice car. Not new, but in pretty fair condition. It would pay the annual taxes for your home quite nicely. It would be better put into a health plan. In ten years thats $36,500. Down payment on a house.
My opinion; if you have that much to waste on cigarettes, why not make it work for you and put it into an account that bears interest and save for something really good.

My opinion is your nuts for even wanting to try again. reading the awnsers first (while I lit a smoke) cough cough. I got smoke in my eye that was fun now its all watering.. Yeah go ahead try it its fun. if you want to try it again just lick the bottom of a friends astray.. cuz thats what your mouths going to taste like to you when your done smoking it. Then the people around you are going to non shalontly(spellcheck) mess with their noses trying to avoid smelling the smoke stench that gets onto your clothes.
My Opinion well it doesnt matter what My Take on it is but I personally wouldnt do (hacking up loogeys ) it!

Don't do it. I'm a smoker and I've tried to quit so many times, and just ended up starting again. They are expensive, addicting, and depending upon where you live you may not even be able to smoke in public places. Most people do it because they are addicted and can't quit.

nothing. People no better not to do it. people know its bad for you. You can't do anything about the older people who smoke. But the young teens who start, please, i mean they know it make them a longer life expancy and if they want to have kids, you know they will possibly look "deformed" Its a habit of pollution and its like picking up a stick and lighting it on fire and smoking it. See what i mean. Cigarettes should be illeagl for ages 50 and younger. People 50 and older have proabally been smoking there whole lives.

I'm in the same boat as the military man. Cigs are my distresser but I'm fully aware that I'm addicted. Although, I'm not addicted in the way that I wish I could quit. I actually enjoy it, but that's just me. I like hangin around people who smoke, the smell doesn't bother me or any of that.
My opinion on you trying it? I say you don't but I'm not your poppa, you do what you want and don't worry about what we think. Your life, your lungs, your money. I'mma stick to it regardless.

Don't, they stink, I say as I hold one in my hand right now as I type. Hypocrite? No, more like pathetic junkie warning others. But go ahead if you wish, as long as you don't mind gobs of pasty phlegm in your mouth and throat every morning, or as my brother who quit years ago stated it so elegantly, "I got tired of waking up in the morning feeling like someone had sh*t down my throat." I could go on for an hour with descriptions of the miseries of this wretched habit that I can't seem to rid myself of, but hopefully my brother's colorful imagery will be sufficient to dissuade you from smoking.

I'm an addict to the cancer sticks.
its just from my time served in the military.
but for me, its a distresser
everbody has their own type of medicine that they need to get through the days.
some its alcohol, others its drugs, some exercise
I smoke to calm my nerves down.

The reason so many people smoke is because they are addicted and have unpleasant withdrawal without nicotine.
