he acts as if he "plays for the nation" Actually like gavaskar he plays only for his records. If he were so committed to India, he should have dropped himself. Also he aslways makes it a point to play against countries like Bagladesh, Zimbabwe and Canada and Kenya so that he can increase his runs

Have a look at his record against various countries:

England: 9 match 6 century 67.92 av.
Australia: 21 mtach 7 century 53.17 av
Sri Lanka: 16 match 7 century 69.14 av
WIndies: 16 match 3 century 57.13 av
NZealand: 16 match 3 century 48.27 av
BDesh: 3 match 1 century 151.0 Av
Pakistan: 16 match 2 century 39.91 av
SAfrica: 16 match 3 century 37.14 av
Zimbabwe: 9 match 3 century 76.50 av

Now infer the statistics:
Against the best teams Australia, Windies, England , he has lots of centuries with near his overall average or more. he has poor record (below par) with South Africa and Pakistan.
What do you deserve from him. Calling him bogus is highly unfair on your part.
When a legend like Bradman calls him his replica means a lot to all the cricket fans and followers.
When he plays well, scores runs, who is benefitted, the team is also benefitted. Calling him a selfish cricketer is unwarranted.

Now gavaskar, he was an opener and he played at a time when West Indies fast bowlers were on the rampage. Against that sort of attack coupled with Australian Lillie and Thompson, with English Bob Willis and Ian Botham, he scored a lot of runs. I fail to understand why do you feel that the indian maestreos were selfish. When an opener gets you a good start, the entire team morale is lifted and the bowlers get a chance to show their skills.
Have a look at his record against West Indies, and Australia:

WI: 27 matches 13 century 2 double 65.45 av.
Australia: 20 match 8 centuries 51.66 av
Career: 125 match 35 century 51.12 av

What else you require from him.

May God give my countrymen the sense to appreciate the heroics of great sports persons.

If he is bakwas then you are a total Idiot and you shouldnt be allowed to make any comment on this section. It seems that you are probably not educated at all so theres no point in you making any comments. Sachin is the greatest player of all time and he will still score many more centuries and runs for the country. He is the most unselfish player and unlike Brian Lara, Sachin always puts his country before his personal landmarks.

Arey bhai why only sachin tendulkar is bogus and bakwas, for that reason whole Indian cricket team is bogus and bakwas. Every single player play only for himself. The aim and goal of every player at the products they are going to endorse and in return the crores they get. If the Indian cricket for that reason any game to improve in India the government should stop sponsoring the sports events wasting tax rupees which the govt has no right to do. Leave the sports to private sector the way it is done USA. Let the corporations or individuals who are interested in any sport finance and sporsor those sports. Once private sector enter the fray the whole scene changes. No company or individual who invests money into game will go for rotten stuff like sachin tendulkar but they look for fresh and talented players who can return the worth for their investment. Hey you the DUMB guys like Sharad Pawar(with no power) at Government of India think about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can understand your sentiments towards the game cricket. But dear friend he is not bogus and bakwas. He is a player with lots of talent. You can check his records at www.cricinfo.com.

Nowdays he is out of form, Indian selectors must think about Sachin and his performance. He needs a fair rest. If he failed again in test matchs (in south africa). He should be kept out from the team and world cup.

Yes they can call him back whenever srilanka, bangladesh, zimbabwe etc will tour India.

Unfortunately majority of cricket lovers all over the world do not think the way you think. I do not know as to how one can say bogus and bakwas about a player who holds the world record for most centuries in test and one day internationals and most number of runs in one day internationals.

absolutely correct, sachin is bogus and bakwas, sachin only plays for records and not for the team,

when dravid declaired, sachin was on 193 and he was surprised, just think, sachin was thinking for the double century and not for the team's win, and sachin was surprosed and we were happy, lol, it was funny,
hear that, surprised, he he he,
come on dravid, declair when sachin is on 99, sachin will be stunned, and not surprised, he he, ha ha ha,
enjoy,
