He never had it. He invented the term to show he went to business school, and to try to muscle through a law which would impoverish the elderly and disabled. Luckily, his bulldozer style failed.

He really never had what he mistakenly took as political capital! He got elected by a small margin the second time(He was appointed the first time in my opinion)and his party,with total control of the government had become so power mad that they have failed the country on nearly every level.The G O P have turned on each other so much that their party is nearly in ruins The only problem I've got is that it took so long ! I hope we as a nation can overcome!

BTW: Bush did not invent the term 'political capital'. It was quoted by Hitler in the book ' The Rise and Fall Of the Third Reich'
Bush mismanaged his political capital just as he did our real money.

by doing what needed to be done...protecting our shores from an invasion of al qaeda while the closest thing liberals could put up is a former president who squandered two separate opportunities in the early nineties to catch bin laden....doing whats right isnt necessarily always whats popular and seems to have alot more purpose than lying under oath to a federal grand jury. oh and by the way..THATS WHAT IS...IS.
