I want to get my Migration Authorisation Code from BT Broadband. Is there a phone number or email/website address I can contact? Thanks in advance.

0800 800 030 should get you through to the correct department. calling 150 means that whoever you get through to would have to transfer you.

I've had to do this with AOL. I've added a link to the contact section of BT Broadband's site.

I had to contact AOL over the phone, and they made me feel like I was breaking up with them. They asked me if I had a problem with their service (equivalent to 'Was it something I did?') and offered me some new deals (equivalent to 'I can change'). I ended up being tempted to say 'Look, it's not you it's me'. It was the worst break up ever.

Email is probably the best way to go; they're less likely to try to guilt you into staying with them.

Unfortunately, only the phone company can give you the code. I have actually changed supplier and didnt need a code and they just set me up right away. Ask your new company or ISP if its compulsary. Plus they have to give you it under the trade description law. If you dont get any help, contact OFCOM the telecommunications watchdog as ISP's come under that too.
