I am watching NBC and the female anchor of the show was made to demonstrate her difficulty with parallel parking. This was the setup for the new system that automatically parallel parks your car. Why did they make the female anchor do it? She even screwed up the automatic system. This is just fueling the fire for the bad female driver stereotype. I've been parallel parking perfectly for 10 years and do it better than some men I know. In an age where we are trying break through the glass ceiling, female anchors and others continue to take on the helpless female victim roles and make that glass stronger. What do you think?

It's not that all females are bad, nor all are males good, it's just that sometimes some women decide to put their makeup on while driving a car in addition to the bad stuff that guys and girls both do. If everybody would just drive while behind the wheel, only the elderly and teens would be considered bad drivers (and possibly me).

I think it's because the driver image was initially set as a male one. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because they made cars before feminism was heard of. There's this unspoken notion that females shouldn't drive. When we started to take the wheel, people got apprehensive and every little mistake was magnified. I think most people feel that incompetent male drivers made a mistake the time they saw them, but incompetent female drivers always act like dizzy dames.

Bottom line is: it's just a bad day getting worse! Even if your misfortunes aren't greater than yesterday's, it seems as such because you take note of them.

I can't parallel park because I've never done it since the driving test 20 years ago but my spouse claims that he can do it.

Statistics, if you can belief them say women are the cause of more accidents than men. That is just the way it is. And their accidents are caused by not paying attention to what they are doing. This is not my opinion. This is the auto insurance companies.

I AGREE WITH YOU, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT WOMEN ARE BETTER DRIVERS BECAUSE WE TEND TO LOOK 3-4 CARS AHEAD OF US WHILE MEN ONLY LOOK AT THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM. PARALLEL PARKING IS (IN MY OPINION) JUST AS EASY FOR EITHER SEX DEPENDING ON ATTENTION SPAN.

my wife is totally a better driver than me, as was my mom to my dad......it was just a stereotype made by men to make them feel superior.
