He is in office by the will of the hardliners who want to continue to suppress the growing unrest among the Iranian middleclass. The youth of Tehran are increasingly subverting the strict codes and hypocrisy of the revolution. The nuclear thing and the anti-Israel posturing are deisgned to keep the public distracted and in support fo the regieme. If the "crisis" goes away, the internal stress will grow. He knows that and so do the religious zealots who put him in his chair.

Hmmm The president of Persia (Iran), he's ok could be better but ok.... No fashion sense though.

he is too extremist. he should resign and they should get a leader who the people of iran actually like.

he is one of the few people in the world who has the courage to stand up to the bush administration. he is not afraid to admit it. i think he is a cool guy.
