I can go outside in the middle of winter and have a sweater on and a buttoned up coat and my boobs hurt around the nipples. Why is that! And how can I keep this from happening?

Girl...let me tell you that I know exactly where you are coming from. It is most painful! I have yet to resolve this issue myself. Last year it was so cold at work, I accidentally hit myself in the boob and thought I chipped a nipple. At least it felt as though I did. I've thought about putting those disposable hand warmers in my bra. I may try it this winter season.

Oh My GOD! I have the same problem too sometimes! But it only occured to me yesterday an now its better. I know how you feel. It fells weird right? how long have you had this wierd reaction? If only today than wait til 2morrow and it will heal. Cuz I dont feel it anymore either. There is nothing wrong with you! Its just a feeling you get when the temperrature is cold. ok? try waiting til 2morrow or later and see if it still hurts. If it does not stop by tomorrow, than try something else! alright. :)

It sounds like oversensitivity, I have had that happen to me as well but I haven't been able to find a pattern of when I get it. It could be a secondary response to another body part experiencing the cold (like how brain freeze is a secondary response to drinking cold fluid). You could try bundling up more so you aren't in the cold air so much and see if that helps. You could also try more layers.

I have a couple suggestions.....

1. Make sure you are wearing a bra, preferably padded.

2. Purchase a new sweater and new coat in a larger size. Sounds to me like they are too tight and rubbing you.

The clothes appear to be tight. Wear something loose and see.

put a boob warmer in your bra. Keep them babies at room temperature for best results!
