American physicist John Atanasoff built the first rudimentary electronic computer in the late 1930s and early 1940s, although for several decades afterward credit for the first electronic computer went to the scientists who assembled the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC) for the United States military by 1945. Danish physicist Allan Mackintosh recounts in a Scientific American article how Atanasoff first conceived of the design principles that are still used in present-day computers

TECHNICALLY the first computer was created thousands of years ago, I'm not sure when, but it was made by some culture and it could do very simple things. It did not run on electricity and was made of wood and ropes.
I know this isn't the answer you are looking for, but it's a random fact, and those are always fun!

we shall never know te name of the first computer, as we shall never know who the first sentiant being actually was or is, afterall, a brain is the most and vastly undescovered computer of all, it exists , it works for the most part, it is what makes us sentiant, and yet we truely no nothing about it or how it works, or even how to properly program it to attain a higher knowledge or abilitys from it, and just imagine since currently we only use aprox. 10 percent capacity, what could we do at 20 , 30 , 40 or even 50 percent capacity !
