Strange... because I've spent most of my life doing things up front and being ready, when no one else had even started.

Since hitting sixty, 21 months ago, I don't bother... I leave things to the last minute, purely out of choice... I did enough panic buying and being first and running myself ragged in their youth... to please them all... and since I'm more adept and can do it all inside a day when I'm on the ball... I need the rest now and take my time, I refuse to be pushed into things too soon:-)

I've never not got it done in time, since I'm too experienced a shopper and the last two Christmases for me, as far as cooking and giving gifts goes, were exactly as all the previous ones, successful, even though they were both left until the final three days to prpare for. The bonus was though, I had far less time to stress.

Everything was for 'them' when raising six.. but now, they've flown and all live far away, and celebrate with their own kids... so, I can keep my values, which means, that Christmas is about my faith in Christ again... and not about selfishness and greed and disappointment, because someone got 'more than' 'better than' someone else... apparently!

Oh, the peace of mind now... tokens inside cards are much easier on my battered soul:-)

And my peer group mates and family, really like the pressies I buy them... cos they went through the same... we're like kids again when we share ours, appreciative kids, as in our own youth... not demanding or ungrateful, like the kids we raised.

It's nice really... just to be me again and to be able to ignore the hype and panic shopping:-)

Because its a natural things human being does.. always confident and believe things will be settled when comes to it. For example if we have 2 things to do once in a time, the one that we do first is the difficult and the tough one.. because we're hoping that we'll not have problems to do the easy or the left one in time to finish... (or vice versa)... to solve it- planning is the answer/do a time-frame of 'Things to do..".

I think it is a matter of organization. That and I personaly like being ahead of the game! Right now I am already reading for uni work next round. It feels good to be in control.

Sometimes it's laziness, sometimes genuine lack of time, sometimes because we put pressure on ourselves to do an excellent job, and leave it till the last minute so we can excuse a poor result on having left it till the last minute rather than lack of ability...
The list is endless!

LOL I think its probably the latter.
My son swears that by putting it all off to the last moment he has the drive to get things done fast and efficiently. Go figure!

Thats because most of us are lazy. Even the busiest bug in the office has a tinge of laziness inside his heart. We have lost track of the value of time. We think we can manage everything at any time. And I think its high time we changed this.... :-)

because they are lazy or people do not have much interest in doing the things which they leave to the last minute to do

Because life moves faster than we want or expect it to. We think we have enough time to do things and then they just creep up on us.
