Yes, there are lots of people who perform 'witch magic' every day.. it's a way of life for many people.
There are some who incorporate it into their religious practice (Wiccans, Pagans) and some who don't.
It isn't at all like the t.v. shows (Charmed, Buffy, Sabrina, etc) and movies (Practical Magic, The Craft) portray it... and witches are not "satan worshippers" regardless of what the uneducated say.
There are more than likely witches in your neighborhood, place of employment, etc... they look like, talk like and behave like other people.. and as far as my experience goes, are some of the nicest, most intelligent, wonderful people I've had the honor to know.

Didn't you ever wished something so hard that it came true. I believe that some people do have more education in this field maybe and power that they can really do extraordinary things just by wanting it. Once I was so angry at a friend that I did try to make him suffer and feel as I did (through voodoo doll), and at the same day he had a strange accident. I like to believe that was just a coincidence, and he had it coming. I wouldn't repeat that anyway and I thank God he survived it with minor injuries.

If there really was magic the world would be run by someone like J.K. Rowlings 'Lord Voldemort', not by bumbling politicians and grasping dictators.

there are few people that can perform ancient real magic but there are many people that perform low level magic
