she has really wacky breasts, their not just small, ones bigger than the other and outa wack, she can't stand it, i think it'd give her more confidence, it's the only thing she's unhappy with. but i still think she should wait a few more years.

Not judging: She will need her parent's approval, she will need to quit smoking for a while before she goes into surgery to avoid complications, she will need to be healthy (by eating) before her surgery so her body will be strong enough to recover.

Judging: Her parents should not let her get this done and put her into counseling. She seems to have self esteem issues and is trying to find a quick fix.

Almost all women have asymetrical breasts (one larger than the other). This tends to even out as the woman gets older. I am 24; when I was 17 I was a 34B -- now I'm a 36D and I haven't even had children or gained more than 10 pounds. Speaking of children -- the breast implants could be painful for her if she ever wanted to have children in the future. Plus -- I have seen many breast implant surgeries go very, very wrong. What if she got special bras for a while that would hide the asymetry? Let her know that her body is still growing and changing - and to love herself for who she is. It took me a while to accept that my nose points slightly to the left, but in the grand sceme of life, it dosen't matter.

the terrific present you will possibly be able to offer this adverse baby is a few severe counseling. i all started prepared to get breast implants whilst i replaced into 17 and that i in basic terms grew to become 25 and finally have been given them. I waited, i desired to determine that this replaced into something i actually needed. additionally length is a controversy, she might in all probability bypass too enormous now. They advise you to in no way get a tattoo as a teenager for a reason, i think of the comparable good judgment is going for plastic surgical technique too. she would be waiting to no longer get employed based on the dimensions of her breasts I assure you. soccer is a sexist interest in that they motivate 0.5-bare women human beings to prance around and entertain the objective marketplace yet they are not THAT blatantly sexist! There are regulations against that form of discrimination. with the help of how, don't be this variety of push-over. Your interest is to mom this baby and help her make clever knowledgeable judgements no longer cater to her each whim.

That is wrong, any good surgeon wouldn't operate on someone in that situation until they were 21. Mainly because anyone who is educated knows that breasts continue to grow until you are 21 years old. At this age her problems could be sorted and getting breast implants now may cause problems if her breasts grow further.

Seems highly irresponsible of her parents to allow this and the surgeon who obviously doesn't know what hes doing with a girl this age who has physiological problems

I've never heard of a surgeon who will do surgery on someone who smokes so much. The smoking affects your blood flow which you need in order to function normally. As for the implants, I am surprised someone is doing the surgery before she is eighteen. These two things make me think that the surgeon she picked isn't a good one.

at 17 the breasts are still growing...... she needs to wait a few years, quit smoking and see what happens. . . Plus at 17, parental approval is needed and most times for things like this the person has to be evaluated by a psychologist.

It is common, more common are reductions at that age. 5 (individual) smokes a day isn't much but she should stop before surgery. To avoid any respiratory problems. She won't heal properly without good nutrition. The human body can withstand a lot but you have to feed it and nurture it for it to be healthy, strong, and make you feel good about it.

I think it is a really bad idea...I had breast reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer, lots of surgical complications, took about 6 months to get back to "normal". I was on a wound vac (because my drains fell out and my surgical site reopened, 8 cm!) for months, got an infection, spent 10 days in the hospital...I would really not recommend it...I know I personally would never do it again!

It's wrong. A 17 year old is too immature to make a good decision about surgery. She is too concerned about competitions with other young women for "how my breasts look" to be rational. It's a mistake.
