A happily married family man comes home to find the door locked and his wife living with his best friend. She falsly claims that he is violent and access to his children is limited by the courts.
He has lost his children, his wife and best friend. He is named and shamed on the internet when he refuses to pay maintenance toward the children of the new family, both working and well off.
What do you think. resonable or unreasonable??

obviously if theyre FALSE claims then this is extremely unreasonable (on her behalf). your....I mean his wife sounds like a real b*tch. Supporting his own children is one thing, supporting his wife, and her new lover is another. He should care for his children and only his children.

At the end of the day, the children are also his responsibility, and he should contribute to CSA for their welfare and up-bringing. He could appeal against the limited access to the children and gain more time with them. Having children is a big step in life, and once done, cannot be reversed. When this happens, the parents most think of the children, especially when the parents split, as in this case, and have to try and put the circumstances surrounding the split to one side. Difficult, I understand, and anger may be caused through this, but the children will admire a parent who thinks of them and provides as much as they can, no matter what the parents circumstances.

That is so rough. Unfortunately, the courts can be really tough on Dads. If the court ordered you to pay it you have to pay it. I'm assuming that they are the ones who named/shamed you. It is unreasonable to refuse to pay a court ordered amount. The downsides are just way to steep, no matter what prinicple is at stake.

If you believe the amount is unfair, you must get it renegotiated. You need to go in with a lawyer. The law states you need to support your kids, so the only argument for reduction of child support is that itis impossibly unaffordable.

In the meantime, just pay it or you'll have to work for undocumented income, which can lead nowhere good.

firstly there seems to be some info missing on this....you came home one day to find your wife living with your best mate?.....no clues before hand?

and also courts do not tend to go in the womans favour without good reason because they are largley run by male chauvenists......

if the claim is false about being violent then that needs to be challenged in the courts, but sometimes you just have to face the fact that not everything always goes as we would want/wish.

look after your kids, and dont get obsessed with your ex's new life......

good luck

the same thing has happened to me,I aint seen my daughter for 9 years. Two court orders ,still wont let me see her.courts will do nothing waste of time and money with solicitors. If they asked for a reasonable amount most men will pay but to take most of what u earn and leave you with less than u would get on the social is also wrong.Again when any of these ****in laws are made its only women groups that are contacted and these unjust rulings are made by man hating females backed up by spineless men in power

From the outside it sounds totally unreasonable, and if I were him I'd find a way to get a good lawyer and fight this thing.

Sounds like they don't need child support, and heres why. Those two pukes are going to spend that money on themselves and we all know it. I think if a cheating whore moves in with another man, then let him and her support the children.

if the guy was so happily married, how come the wife was having something on the side? if he was it means the wife is mean. he should have fought in court for the children.
