I moved to a new city recently, and I honestly have no idea how to find a qualified, personable, and overall superior psychologist. It's not the sort of thing I can just start asking my coworkers about, you know?

The American Psychological Association has a "Find a Psychologist" feature on their website.

Your health insurance provider should also have a similar feature on its website.

Why do you need a psychologist?
What would tell you if a psychologist is "superior" or the best? The best for what? and superior to what or whom?
Finally isn't a psychiatrist whom you are after? They tend to treat mental issues, I always thought psychologists had a slightly different role.
I'd do some homework first, ask better questions because you WILL receive better and more useful answers.

honestly not being flippant , but go nut's in public, and when the police come, they will send you to the nearest mental facility for your city, especially if you tell them that you're going to hurt yourself and or others, once there on a 72 hour evaluation hold, you will have several top doc's there and they will advise you and get you the right doc of your choice !
