I still love the Christmas holidays and all the memories that come with it. For me it's a time to slow down, look around, and take time to show the people who are important in my life that I love them. I especially think of my mother who passed away many years ago when I was just 17. That last Christmas with her was a wonderful moment in time. So, I appreciate life and never take it for granted. It's easy to ignore all the commericialization if you concentrate on family (the ones you love, not the ones that make you crazy, lol!). Happy holidays to you!

The crazy thing is I am about to start this with "when I was a child" and I am just 22 years old right now! But when I was a child, there was more of a Christmas spirit. People didn't seem to be in as much of a frenzy. I know that the stress to mark off every name on the Christmas list was STILL there, but one thing I find absent now is the Spirit of Christmas. I think people stress themselves so much about the superficial part of Christmas, the presents and the decorations, that they forget the warming, loving holiday spirit and are completely burned out on the holiday once it actually arrives. This year, I am going to be staying home with my sons to make sure they experience, at least for one year, the Christmas I remember.

Christmas is what you make of it. I personally enjoy the season, but then, I always have. While it is true that Christmas will never be what it was when I was a child, that doesn't mean that I have to lose my awe and wonder at the delights of the season. I still make a big fuss about Christmas because that is what I want to do.

I believe in the TRADITION OF BENEVOLENCE - giving to others and helping the less fortunate - whether it is these days or those days. However, I do believe that much of the holidays have another focus - to each his own! In my house there is not "too much fuss."

In the United States.. Christmas is so commercialized that it is absolutely no fun.. It is absolutely not the least bit interesting and I have not celebrated Christmas HERE in the U.S. for many years and I will NOT celebrate it...This is the only country where Christmas is beginning to be celebrated in September.. Why? Greed for money and more money and more money... Thus, I have said to hell with it and am happy that I am not part of that greedy mess

To much commercialism anymore.
Christmas used to be about giving from your heart.
Now it's about giving from your pocket!
TRADITIONAL is my take, but I don't think we will get that back again.

This year, here's what I"m doing for Christmas...I'm getting drunk and stoned and probably gonna spend it watching a couple of movies. Then later in the evening, I'll probably head to a bar and hang out there.
And that's the way I WANT to spend it.
