emily rose??

That was the whole point of telling Emily Rose's story...while she was most likely NOT possessed (she dies of pneumonia and starvation). The question was, "Is is possible?"

The answer was, "Well, maybe..."

In reality, both the priest involved and her parents (I think) all served about 6 months in jail.

You should also know, that upon examination, her knees were shattered from repetitive kneeling while praying. She was in terrible shape. What ever happened to her, her body was mangled upon discovery by the M.E.

I guess I would have to say that I don't know. IF possession is possible, it would mimic the symptoms of mental illness. In this age of medical discovery and knowledge, it would be very difficult to tell the two apart. Unless of course, a person began speaking in tongues he or she has never been exposed to, or they start making object fly around the room without physically manipulating them.

It's possible I suppose....but I would have to say RARE at best.

Yes, I have seen this happen. I was very young (grade school age) and I had gone to church camp with my two older sisters (high school age). After the sermon, we were going to our dorms and i saw a group of elders praying for this girl (she looked real butch) I assume that is why the elders were praying for her. Anyway, during the laying of hands on her - she started to growl and white stuff was coming out of her mouth and her voice was really scary sounding. The elders could barely hold her down. She was very strong despite the fact that she was not a big girl. I am not saying that if she was a lesbian that had anything to do with it. I just think that the elders were praying for her and that is what happened. My sister dragged me away from the scene because she said that I was too young to be witnessing that and that it has always been said that if someone is possessed if you are around them you must have strong faith and be praying or the demon might try to enter into you. Anyway that was my experience with that situation. They didn't mention it the next day but the girl did leave the church camp.

If your are a true Christian no you can't be possessed by demons, because Jesus already possesses your soul.
I don't even think demon possession is common, but as a Christian I have to believe that it is possible but it is at very least rare. Would I deny anyone medical treatment like they did Emily Rose? No I would not. If the person who Emily Rose was based on was really possessed she wasn't a true Christian. Either way she needed the medical treatment, that she was denied.

yes I believe that they can. The world is filled with good spirits and bad or those that are controlled by the devil. They say that things are getting worse in the days ahead as we face Armageddon.

one of my fratenity brothers was possesed one time and i was present at the excorcism... he spoke 7 languages all at one time and in different voices and contorted his body in such ways it was sicking...
