roughly 225-250 million years, or a galactic year. I'm not sure what the orbits are called. Sorry.

correct, it takes about 250 million years for the solar system to revolve once.
But even I cannot tell you the name of such an orbit (if there is one), though I do astronomy as a hobby for over 30 years now. You got to ask a professor of astronomy at the nearest university to you.

convinced. Our solar orbit the midsection of our Milky way galaxy, it truly is a supermassive black hollow. Our solar takes someplace between 225 to 250 million years to finish one orbit. it is a "galactic 12 months".

The latest estimate I have heard of is that it takes around 225 to 250 million years for the sun and our solar system to make its trip around the Milky Way.

10 trillion years, aproximately.and are dependant on activity at center of galaxy as in red=ferance to black hole activity and or creation of new solar systems and the contraction and / or expanse of the galaxy, but let us not also forget the movement thru the void between galaxy's and the eventuall collision with other galaxy's and solar systems as well !, there is more to consider than just orbital anomolies, and we shall never know all of the intrecacies within our life times !

I saw a show on nova that said it has only made about five complete orbits since its creation. If you want to know more visit the nova web site.
